Syrian Arabic Community Gathering in Auckland – Presentation & Dinner

On 24 November 2024, The Syrian Arabic Community in New Zealand hosted a community gathering at its headquarters in Auckland, bringing together members, families, and friends for an evening of discussion, connection, and shared purpose.

The program began with a presentation outlining the association’s recent activities, community initiatives, and upcoming projects aimed at serving the Syrian and wider Arab community in New Zealand. Topics included strengthening community engagement, addressing challenges faced by new immigrants and refugees, and exploring opportunities for cultural, educational, and social development.

Following the presentation, participants engaged in an open discussion to share feedback, ideas, and suggestions for improving the association’s work and expanding its impact across New Zealand.

The evening concluded with a communal dinner, offering a chance for attendees to connect in a warm and friendly atmosphere, strengthening the bonds within the community.
