Kids Market Day – Qiyam Educational Centre, The Syrian Arabic Community in New Zealand

The Syrian Arabic Community in New Zealand, through its Arabic school Qiyam Educational Centre, organised a lively Kids Market Day at the Western Springs Garden Community Centre.
The initiative aimed to encourage students to design and produce their own items, then present and sell them in a real market environment. The event also promoted the values of Islamic trade manners—such as honesty, fairness, and respect—while giving students the opportunity to learn the basics of running a business.
Children actively marketed their products, interacted with customers, and gained valuable skills in entrepreneurship and communication. The event attracted a large turnout of students, parents, and families, creating a vibrant atmosphere that reflected both community spirit and educational purpose.
